Concerning All of My Bases [FAQ]

It would appear that I need to clear a few things up about the bases, and someone suggested a FAQ, so why not?
These are some of the questions I am asked most frequently:
Q: Can I use this base(s)?
A: Yes. All of my bases are free to use. It doesn't matter to me what you do with them, all I ask is that you credit me once you post it.
Q: What programs do you use to make your bases?
A: Microsoft Paint (Tracing the base), GIMP (Separating trace lines from vector), Photoshop (Last minute edits, background removal)
Q: How can I use the base(s)?
A: You will need to download it first. You can either Right-click>Save as, or click the 'Download' button off to the side. Next, simply open it up in whatever program you want to edit it in and turn it into whatever pony you want. All bases are MS Paint friendly - meaning you can just use the fill bucket in Microsoft Paint to recolor it easily.
Q: Do you do commissions?
A: I won't do it for money, but I will occasionally make one for somebody if they messaged me.
Q: How often do you make bases?
A: Whenever I get bored enough to make one.
Q: How do you choose what vectors to make bases from?
A: It normally comes down to how easily I could make the base, and whether or not the author of the vector has given me permission.
Q: Can you make a base out of [X]?
A: Assuming I can get the author's permission, I might.
Q: Will you ever make bases of things other than ponies?
A: Most likely not.
Q: How longs does it take to make a base? Is it difficult?
A: 2-3 hours depending on size, motivation, and my light perfectionism. Difficult? Not really. Tedious? Hell yes.
Q: What's up with the first three bases?
A: Well, this account originally wasn't mine. A friend of mine made the account to fuck with me because he knew I use this username for just about everything. So, he got around to publishing some of his MS Paint ponies, along with three bases that he derived from three of the ponies. As he somehow got pissed off at the community, he decided to give the account to me. I eventually got a bit interested in the bases and decided to try out some of my own. I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Considering making a basing tutorial

I've gotten quite a few emails in the past few days asking many questions concerning how I make my bases, and the majority of them are pretty much the same. So, I was thinking about going ahead and making some sort of tutorial, like a video demonstrating how I make them and what I use. I'm not sure how many, if any, of these tutorials currently exist, but I'm willing to give it a shot if you guys would like it.

Summer Gave Me Alzheimer's

I take one two month vacation to the mountains, and it seems I have almost completely forgotten how to use a computer.
First thing I do when I get home, open Flash Cs5 to continue a project I started, only to realize I forgot almost everything about Flash.
Next, I open Photoshop to edit a few pictures I took at the mountains, when I find a folder full of furry art, which is REALLY fucking weird, because I'm not a furry, and I could have sworn that wasn't there when I left..
Then, I wondered why my internet was going so slow, and I realized I was on Internet Explorer. Which is also strange because I swear I uninstalled IE months ago.
Summer has given me alzheimer's.
